Ingredients

  • 1kg – Wheat flour
  • 30g – Salt
  • 30g – Sesame seed (tal)
  • 30g – Sugar
  • 10g – Turmeric powder
  • 15g – Chilly powder
  • 150g – Oil
  • 10g – Garam masala
  • 15g – Kasoori methi
  •  Water

Procedure

  1. Measure and keep all the ingredients ready for the Thepla.
  2. Mix all ingredients except water.
  3. Mix water.
  4.  Make a smooth dough.
  5. Make balls (not shown all).
  6. Roll on the rolling plate.
  7. On a hot tawa place the thepla.
  8. Flip when one side is partly cooked.
  9. Spread oil on this side.
  10. Flip the thepla again.
  11. Now spread the oil on this side.
  12. Flip a couple of times till you get golden spots and the methi thepla is cooked evenly.
  13. Serve hot.
