Ingredients
- 200g – Flattened rice (poha)
- 150g – Potato
- 100g – Tomato
- lemon
for tempering aloo poha
- 50g – Oil
- 8g – Mustard seeds (rai)
- 7g – Cumin seed (jeera)
- 20g – Chilly
- 1 pic ginger
- 3g – Turmeric powder
- 20g – Salt
- 40g – Sugar
- 2 twig Curry leaves
Optional
- 30g – Ground nuts
- 1 pic Pomegranate (dadam)
Procedure
- Measure and keep all the ingredients ready for the Aloo Poha.
- Heat oil in a pan or kadai. First splutter the mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
- Then add chilly, jinjar & curry leaves saute for 1 min.
- Then add potato & ground nuts. Saute the potato till golden & crisp, ground nuts till crunchy.
- Then rince the poha 4-5 times (till it becomes soft).
- Then add turmeric powder, lemon juice, salt & sugar & mix well.
- Then add poha mix well & off the flame.
- Then add tomato and pomegranate and mix well.
- Cover the pan or kadai for 10-15 min.
- Serve hot.
