Rava Ka Sira

Ingredients

  • 400g – Sooji (Ravo)
  • 200g – Almonds, Cashew, Raisins (kismis)
  • 700g – Sugar
  • 280g – Ghee
  • 1400g – Water
  • 400g – Milk
  • 2g – Cinnamon (taj)
  • 1g – Cloves (laving)
  • 5g – Cardamom powder (elaichi)

Procedure

  1. Measure and keep all the ingredients ready for the Rava Ka Sira.
  2. At side keep milk+water for boil.
  3. In deep kadai add ghee & saute rava till it become light golden.
  4. Then add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves. Saute for 1 min.
  5. Then add almonds & cashew nuts. Saute for 2 min.
  6. Then add raisin. Saute for 1 min.
  7. Then add milk little by little.
  8. Till it become slightly tight.
  9. Then add sugar.
  10. It should not too tight.
  11. Then add ghee & cardamom powder.
  12. Transfer sira into tapeli.
  13. Serve hot.
