Ingredients

  • 750g – Semolina (rava)
  • 250 – All-purpose flour (maida)
  • 500g – Ghee
  • 1kg – Sugar
  • 390g – Water (burn – 20g)
  • 10g – Cardamom

Procedure

  1. Measure and keep all the ingredients ready for the Amrut pak.
  2. Heat ghee in deep kadai.
  3. Add rava & saute till fragrant and light brown in colour.
  4. After half of rava sauting completed then add maida.
  5. Saute rava & maida till light brown in colour, like this.
  6. Cook together water and sugar to make a syrup. Burn 20g water.
  7. After amrut pak reach at room temperature then add syrup & cardamom in kadai. Amrut pak should be 20% hot.
  8. After 30-40 min check whether it becomes tight or not(not fully tight) then grease a tray & pour mixture in that tray. Make 1.5 cm height.
  9. After 45-50 min cut into peices.
  10. Serve.
