Coconut Chutney

Ingredients

  • 250g – Coconut or desiccated coconut
  • 125g – Roasted chana dal (bhuna chana dal)
  • 15g – Chilly
  • 10g – Ginger
  • 80g – Curd
  • 20g – Salt
  • 400g – Water
FOR TEMPERING Coconut Chutney
  • 30g – Oil
  • 3g – Mustard seed
  • 3g – Cumin seed
  • 3g – Dry red chilly
  • 6g – Urad dal
  • 2 Twig curry leaves

Procedure

  1. Measure and keep all the ingredients ready for the Coconut Chutney.
  2. Grind all ingredients except tempering.
  3. If required than add water in grinding.
  4. Heat oil in tapeli/pan.
  5. Then splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal & saute for half min.
  6. Then splutter cumin seed till it brownis.
  7. Then add dry red chilly & curry leaves saute till it crisp.
  8. Mix tempering in coconut mixer.
  9. Serve.
