Ingredients

  • 75g – Tamarind (seedless)
  • 75 g – Jaggery
  • 250g – Dates
  • 1kg – Water
  • 22g – Salt
  • 10g – Chilly powder
  • 10g – Cumin (jeera) powder

Procedure

  1. Measure and keep all the ingredients ready for the Tamarind and Dates Chutney.
  2. In a pressure cooker add 500g water, tamarind, jaggery & dates. Make 2-3 whistle.
  3. Now transfer the dates, tamarind & jaggery mixture to the mixing bowl and blend smooth puree.
  4. Place a strainer over the another bowl and pour the blended puree.
  5. Then add salt, chilly powder & cumin powder and mix well.
  6. Keep it side till it reach room temperature.
  7. Serve.
